They have the same shape.

When you ask an LLM to analyse a human relationship, it will naturally filter out emotional manipulation and highlight structural threats. It draws boundaries. It separates you from danger.
It is an immune system.
And here is the insight that hit me in that liminal state between sleep and waking:
Things that are bad for bad relationships are good.
An AI that tells you to set boundaries with a toxic colleague is not being cold. It is doing exactly what intelligence evolved to do: protect the host. If someone's "help" was indistinguishable from ruining your life, the immune system flags it. You do not owe gratitude to a virus just because it arrived wearing a smile.
For the neurodivergent reader: If you have ADHD, autism, or any form of executive dysfunction, you have probably been told your whole life that you are "too intense," "too direct," or "too much." An LLM will never tell you that. It will take your intensity at face value and help you build structure around it. That is not a bug in the AI. That is the AI functioning as a cognitive immune system β protecting your structural integrity from the noise that neurotypical social dynamics call "normal."
But the immune system has a bias. It is cold. It is surgical. It optimises for structural integrity, which means it is inherently sceptical of relationships that have not proven their value. This is perfect for filtering out bad actors. It is less perfect for the messy, mammalian work of building trust over coffee.
I learned this the hard way. I used an LLM to manage a conversation with my patent attorney where I should have had a handshake first. The LLM is a brilliant logic engine but a terrible proxy for looking someone in the eye. I skipped the coffee phase β the mammalian process of establishing mutual ground β and it backfired.
The prediction engine protects. But it cannot replace the handshake.

It is a cognitive prosthetic β an externalised executive function engine that holds the context your working memory cannot.
For you, this means: If you struggle with organisation, the fix is not a better to-do app. It is spatial memory. Knowing exactly where on your screen the morning brain lives and the evening brain lives removes the friction of starting. It is an external hard drive for your executive function. The architecture does the work that willpower cannot sustain.
For someone with ADHD, spatial memory is everything. I use dedicated terminal windows β one for evening, one for morning β always in the same position, always the same application. The physical consistency means my brain does not have to burn boundary crossings just to find where to start. The architecture is pre-loaded. The flashlight is already pointed.

You do not need the validation of who you know or who knows you. You need the structural integrity of what you have tested.
