Operator caught it live ("format the email html"). Fix: scripts/comms/render-markdown-email.mjs runs marked over .md sources only, wrapped in an inline-styled container (email clients ignore <style>); .html/.txt sources pass through untouched. Guard: tests/comms/render-markdown-email.test.mjs asserts headings/bold/lists convert and no literal markdown markup survives into the body.
