docs(marsh): FINAL pack — hostile ghost-read cut three of my own lines; Hooper removed; no-exit rejected
RAN A HOSTILE GHOST-READ (a Carls actively hunting for a kill-shot so he can tell Paul 'not
ready'). THREE OF MY OWN ADDITIONS WERE THE ATTACK SURFACE:
· 'Marsh runs its own agents…' → read as A VEILED THREAT, and the internal-pilot offer as 'a
backdoor sales pitch in disguise'. The idea is sound (Marsh does carry its own exposure) but it
is a SECOND MEETING, not a line in this one. CUT.
· 'A statistical model cannot offer you one.' → 'hand-waving'. A flourish, not a fact. CUT.
· 'Two independent witnesses / an instrument that knows when it doesn't know' → 'a fancy way of
saying two algorithms, and UNPLACEABLE is a cop-out.' REWRITTEN AS PURE MECHANISM, zero
adjectives: two measurements; where they disagree it does not resolve the tie; the abstention is
recorded in the receipt like any other verdict. Let him supply the admiration.
T.J. HOOPER: CUT, on the operator's instinct, and he is right — THEY KNOW THAT CASE BETTER THAN WE
DO. Citing 1932 admiralty law to Marsh's FINPRO analytics leadership is a man explaining their own
profession to them. Fact 5 is now the plain fact: the check is free, public, available today. They
will supply Hooper themselves, faster than we could name it, and with a force we could never give it.
THE 'NO-EXIT' CLOSE: REJECTED OUTRIGHT. It is a trap for US.
1. It INVERTS the posture that makes this work. Publishing the null, volunteering the miss rate,
refusing to price — all of it earns its force by REMOVING PRESSURE. Add a trap and we become
the vendor they were braced for, and EVERY HONEST DISCLOSURE RETROACTIVELY READS AS SETUP. We
would convert our credibility into a con.
2. A threat HANDS HIM A FREE EXIT. 'I don't like being cornered' is socially costless. You cannot
corner a man whose profession is pricing downside.
3. The conclusion is devastating ONLY BECAUSE HE REACHES IT HIMSELF. Five checkable facts, stated
flat, then SILENCE. Say 'therefore you are negligent' and he rejects OUR ARGUMENT instead of
arguing with THE FACTS — and the facts do not move.
THE REAL NO-EXIT IS THE ASK, NOT A THREAT: 'I don't know what has to be inside an operational
specification for it to be insurable. You do. Write it and I will build to it. If I can't — if the
thing you need measured isn't measurable — that is a finding worth having, and I would rather hear
it from you in July than discover it in a deposition.' HE CANNOT WALK AWAY FROM A STANDARD HE
CO-AUTHORED. That binds harder than any cornering.
Sweeps clean: no coercion · no Hooper · no numbers · no price · no 'infinite' · no 'standard of
care' self-applied. Claims guard 5/5.

Story: 'Leave it to be understood.' The hostile read proved the point mechanically — every line I added to MAKE them understand became the line a hostile reader used to dismiss us. The strongest version of this document is the one that says less and trusts them more.
