Your inner monologue — written for you; correct it and it improves
Five things happened in order and the order is the point. First: it prints the same receipt twice and refuses to say whether the work was good — so it is scope escape, the brain surgeon wandering off to do the plumbing, and that is a named peril, not a quality score. Second: ISO's generative-AI exclusion attaches to renewals from January and absolute-AI wording is spreading through D&O and E&O — those endorsements are accounts my desks currently cannot place. Third: every client tells me they have it handled internally, and that walks into separation of duties under SOX and the EU AI Act, because no firm self-certifies its own AI on a monitor built from its own stack. Fourth, and this is the one that made it ordinary: it is telematics. The OBD2 dongle never knew why the driver braked and the actuary never needed it to. Fifth: the measurement is open and free, the financialization is licensed, there is no resale spread for anyone, and what a broker earns is the placement — the book the exclusions took off our desks. I am not selling another SaaS seat. I am holding the relationship when a standard lands.
Easy to agree with, easy to reject — either reaction is signal. If it misses you, say where it broke.
What I want out of this — said plainly, so you can price it
I want you to be able to DEFEND all five, not just believe them — because the thing that stops you forwarding this isn't doubt, it's the follow-up question you can't answer in front of two seniors. So run it twice yourself, learn the five in the order they're preconditions of each other, and tell me which one you'd get pushed back on first. That single answer is worth more to me than a meeting upstairs, because it's the beat I rewrite next.
Why you're ranked here
You sit near the center of The Network's cloud — the nine-room decomposition of what this work needs the world to understand. Rank 6 means: of everyone this room knows about, this belongs to you most. That is an honorific, not an algorithmic judgment of worth — and it's correctable by replying. Nothing here asks you to pass it to anyone.
You have a coordinate — B2,A1 (Tactics.Deal ⊕ Strategy.Law)
Your coordinate is an occupation intersection: one room is where you'd actually be working, the other is the quality control on that work. That cell, B2,A1 (Tactics.Deal ⊕ Strategy.Law), sits on the same 12×12 lattice every commit in this repo attests against — the same map that prices an AI agent's drift. Someone else may share your coordinate; what's yours alone is what lights up when you stand there — your confidence pixel — and that lighting is exactly what ranks the rooms below: your green spaces first, your red spaces where growth points. You didn't have to do anything to get placed. This is reverse market segmentation, not a judgment — and the direction you could grow in is readable straight off the map.

Don't like it? Change it — by intent or by action. Reply and say where you actually stand, or engage — run the demo, bind a room, send one objection — and the pixel moves with you. Either way, you own it from here.
What to look at, in this order — the short tour, picked for you
- Run it yourself — the pinned demo
BEAT 1. Your test, not our demo. It renders the same receipt twice from the same input, in your own session, so you can answer 'did you try it' with yes — and so 'named peril' stops being a phrase and becomes something you watched happen.

- Your page — the playbook, the telematics frame, the evidence trail
BEATS 2, 3 and 4 in one place: the in-house-trap card with the exact question to ask, the OBD2 framing, the exclusion arithmetic, and every source under it — including the honest fences, stated before a skeptic finds them.

- What a broker actually earns
BEAT 5, and the page to read before you say anything about money. It states plainly that there is no resale spread for anyone and that what a broker earns is the placement — which is the version that survives your compliance review.

- The public license mechanics
$20 per agent-year; an agent-year is 365 days or 10,000 attestations, whichever comes first. Never quote a number that isn't on this page — an unsourced figure is worse than no figure in front of your two seniors.

- The claim, written to be attacked
Includes an explicit list of what we do NOT claim. That list is the thing to lead with internally — it is what makes the rest credible.

The to-do list — if you wanted to do something
- 1.Run it yourself first, exactly as pinned: npx -y thetacog-mcp@latest attest-demo — the -y and @latest matter, the bare name hits a stale cache (that's the failure at the table). Run it TWICE and watch the receipt come back byte-identical; that is the whole peril claim, in your hands.
- 2.Learn the five in order — peril, market, moat, precedent, position. They are preconditions, not talking points: if the peril isn't named there's nothing to write a policy around, if there's no excluded book it's academic, if the client can build it themselves there's no business, and the telematics precedent is what turns it from a new idea into ordinary work.
- 3.Be precise about the money before anyone asks you, because the honest answer is the strong one: $20 per agent-year, sold for use, flat administrative fee to re-register, and NO resale spread for anybody. You are not marking anything up. What you earn is the placement — ordinary brokerage on business that currently walks. The full terms are public at thetadriven.com/pricing; never say a number that isn't on that page.
- 4.Carry ONE line into any room where AI risk comes up: 'It's telematics for agents — it doesn't score whether the work was good, it counts whether the agent stayed in the lane it was hired for.' Then stop. It works because it isn't a pitch.
- 5.When you hear 'we've got AI risk handled internally', don't argue with their engineers. Ask: 'How's the firm handling the SOX / EU AI Act separation-of-duties requirement when the monitor shares a failure domain with the agent it's watching?' Then step back and let it sit.
- 6.The honest fence, so you're never caught out: we do NOT have a book of linked claims data behind the readings — the ~13% breach rate is our own lived ledger, a realized loss ratio, not a sealed blind premium. Say that first if a senior asks for loss history. Being the person who named the gap is stronger than being the person who got caught not knowing it.
